Pakistan – Is the ammunition smoked land heading somewhere?
With the agony of losing the PPP’s heartthrob and the nation’s arguable best bet to form a democratic government behind them, the Pakistanis seems to be finally all set to choke the troublesome future. But will the smiling pictures of the earlier tainted and disked Asif Zardari and the Musharraf ousted Nawaz Sharif, who the People merrily traded with the military just eight years ago, be able to translate into an alliance reality? Anybody’s guess. For us Indians, as the Honorable President of India read out in the Indian parliament just yesterday, perhaps only hope of a safer Pakistan and our interest served better.
Salman learns to draw
Known for his drunken brawls and game shooting in a typically Hindi film style, the movie less Salman nowadays seems to be keeping himself busy, containing the wandering mind, anchored in a whole new and innovative way - painting. Though the picture that showed him with the work he has done recently seemed disjointed with the expression, or clothes, or both, he sure looked news friendly. At a time when the other Khans are going bonkers roping the moolah at the Box office, it certainly showed off his never-too-late-to-try-anything attitude. Only if he knew as much about the art, as chasing girls, or sporting shoes, he would have been taken seriously, though.
Ferrari in India
The famous, handmade and customized, premium Fiat car, Ferrari, will be burning rubber on the Indian roads, come 2009. Wow! Exhilarated with the success in China since 2004, when it was first introduced there, the company announced its India plans yesterday in Mumbai just as their distribution partner Tata’s chairman flagged off the car for a 57 city 13000 miles tour. How much will the iconic car cost? 2.2 Crore onwards. Any takers?
